Agentic AI + Trim Editor: Out Now

Agentic AI + Trim Editor: Out Now Two things shipped this week, and they work as a pair. The AI got much better at finding the points in your match and saying what actually happened in them. And you got the final say over every cut it proposes.

Here is what changed.

Agentic AI: it searches your match instead of skimming it CourtCut used to watch your match like a flipbook — a few frames every second, straight through, start to finish. That is enough to notice a point happened here. It is not enough to tell a smash from a volley from a ball that clipped the net. Those are decided in about a fifth of a second.

You could see it in your clip descriptions. Nearly every point ended the same way: "into the net", "long", "unforced error". Those are the endings that look most likely when you have not looked closely enough. Real matches are full of winners, and yours were being written up as mistakes.

The AI now searches your footage. It sweeps quickly past the stretches where nobody is hitting a ball — walking back, picking up a stray, arguing about the score — then looks closely at the couple of seconds that actually decide each point.

Same match, before and after:

Before: "Far team serves. Near team returns into the net."

After: "Far team serves from the left. Near team defends off the back glass with a bajada and finishes the rally with a sharp volley winner."

This matters beyond reading nicely. Your Match Stats are counted from those descriptions. When every point was "an error", your stats said your match was error after error. Now they say what you actually played.

Trim Editor: nothing is cut until you say so The AI proposes. It does not decide.

Every point it finds is laid out on a timeline before a single frame is rendered. Drag either end of a clip, drop the rallies you would rather nobody saw, add one it missed — then hit Export.

The racquet hits are marked on the timeline. CourtCut listens to your match as well as watching it, so you can see exactly where the ball was struck. The natural cut is almost always one small nudge away. Read the full description. What the AI saw in each point now sits under the player, in full, instead of being cut off mid-sentence in the toolbar. Your edits save themselves. Close the tab, lose signal, finish tomorrow. Unfinished matches now show a countdown — "22 hours left" — and appear on My Videos, not just the upload page. Faster, and big uploads that finish A 45-minute match is ready in about ten minutes, down from fifteen, and comes back with roughly 128 clips to choose from. Three-gigabyte uploads no longer die at 80%. Large files now go up in pieces; if one piece fails, only that piece is retried. About four and a half minutes for 3 GB. When an upload does fail, we tell you why — instead of the same "check your connection" for every possible cause. Also in this release Detailed Match Stats — total points, longest rally, volleys, smashes, lobs, and who won what, on your page and on any link you share. Instagram Story cards — one tap turns those stats into a Story-sized image. Pan and zoom the background, drag the stats block, place it where it looks right. Ball Trail is yours to switch on — it no longer arrives already enabled for Pro. It waits until you ask, and remembers once you do. What this does not fix Camera position still decides more than any of this. A phone at net height in the corner, filming across the court, gives the AI a view where the ball crosses the frame rather than coming straight at it — and everything above works better on that footage. We wrote about where to put it: Best camera position for padel.

And the AI still gets points wrong sometimes. That is exactly why the editor exists, and why nothing renders until you have looked.

Stop letting your match footage sit in your camera roll You already played the match. You already filmed it. Let the AI find the eight minutes worth watching — and keep the final say over every cut.
